Established in 2010 by Marianne Halvorsen, Kontaktsource specializes in connecting select professionals from the middle-market private equity, family office, independent sponsorship, lending, and investment banking sectors. Our mission is to foster meaningful connections that drive industry progress and personal growth.
We offer a diverse array of events designed to provide intimate and engaging environments. Our innovative approach enables participants to network freely while also facilitating structured one-on-one meetings to explore current market opportunities.

Our Founder
“My love of community is the reason I want to bring people together that otherwise may not make these connections. Kontaktsource is a place where I can make it happen.”
Marianne is a seasoned professional with a rich background in global risk management and insurance solutions. Since moving from Norway in 1999, she has advanced her international career, holding pivotal client relationship roles and gaining significant expertise. Marianne earned a BA from Washington State University and two master’s degrees in business and marketing from Australia before joining a global insurance brokerage in New York City.
She founded Kontaktsource to enhance deal flow and origination within the Private Equity sector, leveraging her extensive network and industry knowledge. Passionate about female empowerment, Marianne also established the Growthsource Academy, a non-profit dedicated to helping women in New York City—and now globally—achieve independence through entrepreneurship. This initiative provides workshops, mentoring, and coaching to aspiring women entrepreneurs.
Additionally, she launched the Kontaktsource Rizing Star Program to foster the next generation of industry leaders. This initiative offers mentorship, networking, and professional development to ambitious professionals eager to excel in their careers.
